The Sacristan assists the Priest with setting up for mass as well as other duties. The Sacristan is responsible for:
- Setting out the items needed for the Liturgy of the Eucharist
- Turning on lights/sound system
- Confirming that other ministers are present and find replacements for those who are not there
- Cleaning up after mass is finished
- Serving as an EMHC during mass
