Our Lady of Guadalupe Pilgrimage - June 1, 2025

fr andrew pilgrimage photosI am so excited to announce to the parish that I (Fr. Andrew) will be leading a pilgrimage to visit Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City October 13-18, 2025!

Our Lady of Guadalupe holds a very special place in my heart for many reasons and it is one of my favorite places! This will be my fourth visit to see her and I can’t wait to take all of you, my beloved flock, to see her and experience her maternal love. She ever so lovingly says to us, as she said to St. Juan Diego, “Am I not here, I who am your mother?”

This 6 day trip will be an incredible experience to encounter Our Lady and the incredible culture of Mexico City. Back in February I did this exact trip with Fr. Augustin as a part of my training to help lead you all; and let me tell you, we had an absolute blast! We will be traveling with my friend Eduardo Godinez with Emmaus Pilgrimages, who live in Olathe and will help be our guide on this pilgrimage

The inspiration from this pilgrimage came from the realization that many in our pews do not know much about Our Lady of Guadalupe or believe that she is a popular devotion to Mexico. The reality is that the Popes have named and crowned her the Empress of the Americas…not just South America, but of ALL the Americas. This means that she is our Queen as well! Fr. Greg and I have desired a greater devotion for our parish to Our Lady of Guadalupe, this is the reason we have recently placed a statue of her in our church and this pilgrimage we hope will draw more into her maternal heart.

The cost will be around $3,100 a person and each individual will need to be about to walk 4-5 miles a day or around 8,000-10,000 steps a day. The itinerary is listed below and please let me know if you have any questions! I can’t wait to travel with you all to experience Our Lady.
