Fr. Kenn's Farewell - June 26, 2022

I wanted to write a few words for those who were not able to be at one of the Masses this weekend as I said my goodbyes to the parish. For anyone who does not know yet I am being reassigned, and will be the pastor at Sacred Heart parish in Ottawa, KS.

It has been a wonderful three years, and I have enjoyed spending this time here with you all. Prince of Peace really has become a home for me and it is going to be so very difficult to say goodbye. From my very beginnings as a parish priest here at Prince of Peace, through the years of Covid, into each of the countless moments of encounter that I have been blessed to experience, it truly has been an amazing time. I have been so blessed to be a part of your lives over these last three years and to share with you those moments of joy and of pain that you have encountered as well as the ones in my own life.

I have felt so very loved and appreciated here and I pray that you will welcome Fr. Andrew with the same love that you have extended to me these last few years. It is one of those odd things, where it feels as if it was just a week ago that I was giving my welcome homily and introducing myself over and over again, but also it feels as though I have always been here, at home in Prince of Peace.

I will truly miss you and will be praying for you all, so please keep me in your prayers as I will surely need them.

As of now my parish email works fine for getting ahold of me, however many people have asked for my new email address for when I move, it is, frkclem@gmail.com. And as I have said I will be down at Sacred Heart in Ottawa, so do not hesitate to stop by sometime and say hello.

Thank you all so very much and God Bless you,

Fr. Kenn Clem
