Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion– Lay ministers who help distribute Holy Communion at Mass. Training is provided. Prerequisite - must be Confirmed
Lector- Lay ministers who proclaim the Word of God at parish liturgies on Sundays and special feasts. Training is provided. Must be Confirmed.
Music Ministry - Musicians interested in serving at Sunday and Holy Day Masses. Includes adult choir, children’s choir, cantors, instrumentalists, and organists.
Usher– Members of the parish who assist in seating the congregation, passing the collection baskets, directing people during Communion, and handing out bulletins. Must be in high school or older. Training provided.
Greeter - Members of the parish who greet the people as they come into the church.
Altar Server– Adults as well as young men and women, grade 6 and older, who assist the celebrant at our liturgical celebrations. Training is provided.
Art & Environment– Help create the visual art that is used in the church, following the guidelines prescribed by the Church. Members are needed to assist in all the various aspects such as design skill for creating seasonal environments, sewing abilities (mainly hemming), installing and removing the liturgical environment for each Church season.
Eucharistic Adoration - Those who spend time each week in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, by making a commitment to a particular hour each week or as a substitute.
Lazarus Group - A group of parishioners that assists with the general responses, prayers and congregational singing at funeral liturgies at Prince of Peace as many funerals have non-Catholics attending who do not know the responses and songs, as well as Catholics who are grief-stricken and unable to fully participate.
Prayer Groups - join any of the following prayer groups.
- Early Bird Rosary - Pray the rosary before 6:15 am Mass.
- Guardian Angel Prayer Chain—Pray at home for those in our parish who ask for our prayers.
- Marian Mantle Group - Tuesday evening at 6:15 pm in Conference Room #1. Pray for those no longer practicing their faith.
- Our Lady of Fatima Prayer Cell - Friday at 5:30 pm in Conference Room #1.
