Due to continuing COVID restrictions, we will not be meeting in-person for Children's Church this year (2020-2021). Work is underway on the development of an exciting Children's Liturgy project for families. Please register your child for Children's Church to receive these upcoming resources. Stay tuned for more information! Contact Ashley Vardijan (avardijan@popolathe.org) with any questions.
Who can attend Children's Church?
We follow the Olathe School District's cut-off for age/school grades, so children who are 3, 4, or 5 (kdg) on or before August 31st are eligible to enroll.
What is Children's Church?
Children's Church is a Liturgy-based program for 3, 4 & 5 year olds. Each lesson flows from the words of Jesus Christ in the Sunday Gospels. Children learn their faith within the rhythms and seasons of the liturgical year, encouraging a growing participation in the life of the parish community. The take-home booklet format provides an effective communication tool for parents to discuss the Gospel with their child. Every lesson leads children to understand the basics of the Catholic faith and inspire them to seek out ways to practice their faith in their daily lives.
